In the feeling of immense pleasure I share with you the greetings of Eid. May this Eid bless all brothers of the faith, and bring peace, brotherhood, unity, self-confidence and firm faith on Allah for all of us. In the month of ramzan we all passed through spiritual, moral, physical, mental and ideological training. Just for the sake of Allah we fasted for a month, pleasantly restrained ourselves from thirst, hunger and legitimated needs. We prayed in late nights, and strengthened our relationship with Quran. We all tried to participate and compete in good deeds by helping the needy, poor, widows and orphans. May Allah accept all our good deeds and shower best reward on all of us.
But if we look closely, even after receiving all the training in this holy month we start losing the impact of that training right after sighting the moon of Shawwal. Masjids get drained. As the time passes by we tend to forget the pledge we made with Allah in month of Ramadan that we will follow his commandments in all the walks of life. This situation is extremely pathetic for our national and community life. And we must honestly assess the reason for this condition.
The most imperative reason for this condition is our weak relation with the Quran. First of all we don’t know its language, and just read it for blessings never once trying to understand it. No one can make an excuse that he/she didn’t get an easy translation of this book. Quran is available in all major languages of this country. We can read it easily, and understand its objective conveniently.
Talking on internal condition of the Ummah, we are deeply divided into different groups. Sectarian and caste priority are not allowing us to become a strong Ummah. Extremely minor issues have engulfed all the major teachings of our religion. And we restrain ourselves from struggling into a greater cause of ummah. Our enemies are benefited by this weakness of ours.
Our national identity is of a deprived group. Our economic, educational and social weaknesses are known to all. We expect others to pull us out of decadence but why should someone pull us? This is a paradox where we rely on ‘other’ for development instead of making ourselves capable.
Our nation is developing very fast in economic and technological sector, and soon it will be in the list of developed nations. But apparently it is under complete influence of west, politically. The political policies and economy are serving their interests. Second most alarming development is our nation’s cultural development. It is very quickly accepting the values, moral and ideals of western culture and getting rid of all moral and ethical teachings of religion. Education doesn’t impart morality. Immodesty and coarseness are common in youth. Generation next is prioritizing time pass sexual pleasure on marital life. Family system is becoming weaker by time, which is equally threatening for our social life.
Madarsas which are centers of education and morality are blamed and targeted as terrorist hubs; this situation is also serious and acute. Though the fact is, there is not a single trace of madarsas involved in any terrorist activity and in any terrorist attacks. Actually this is part of global conspiracy to keep Muslim ummah away from religious teaching. Our nation is also a ‘victim’ of this conspiracy.
Global condition is also very serious. Evil forces have destroyed the religious identity of this Ummah, and attacked the dignity. After destroying Iraq and Afghanistan, these imperial forces are eyeing Pakistan and Iran. These forces are trying to destabilize the nations internally. Iran is receiving threats for its nuclear programs, and Pakistan is in complete clutch of these powers; they are trying to get control over the nuclear facility of the country.
The Palestinian condition is pathetic too. Despite of all global demonstrations and America’s ‘promises’, Jews are developing their cities in eastern part of Quds. In the name of historical conservation they are trying to destroy the haykal-e-sulemani. For more than half a century Palestinian people have been living in different part of the globe, and there is no hope of return to their native land. But simultaneously Jews are prospering in this land with all amenities.
In this condition of distress and malaise we must sincerely turn to Allah, seeking repentance. We must remember that Quran is the basis of our religion, and Quran tells us that through knowledge we can develop and bring awakening. Therefore we must develop in education sector irrespective of worldly and religious education. Our education must be under our faith and ideology, and its essence must be the fear of Allah. If this is absent in our schools, colleges and universities then we have to establish an alternate system for this purpose. This is our need and compulsion too. May this month develop a sense of understanding in us! We should concentrate on our growth and move forward. May our tomorrow get brighter than our today!
