Group marriage ceremony by Jamaat in Bihar’s flooded areas

Ararya, Bihar, 13 March: After a long time, cheering was seen on the faces of Bihar’s flood victims, as Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Bihar arranged the group marriage ceremonies in Basmatya, Balwan of Ararya District, and Bhagvanpur in- Supol, in which thousands of people were present.

Jamaat-e-Islami Hind’s deputy president, K. Siddique Hassan was the chief guest in the marriage ceremony. The marriage ceremony was organised by Nayyaruz Zaman, Divisional Organiser of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Kosi. Maulana Salfi uttered the Nikah Khutba of all couples and Jamaat congratulated all brides and bridegrooms and presented five thousands rupees to each couples while participants admired the move. K. Siddique Hassan said that the group marriage ceremony was held to restore cheerful atmosphere in the flooded area. And he ensured that more such ceremonies would be held in the future. Nayyaruz Zaman said, ‘now there is big issue for us to provide jobs for these couples for which we are planning while at present we have started to work on for providing houses.’

Jamaaluddin, Mukhtar Alam, Mohammed Naeem, Akbar Ali, Shabila Khatoon, Zubaida Khatoon, Anjum Ara and others brides and bridegrooms expressed happiness while their parents felt calm and contentment  on the occasion. Sar punch of the town Sahabuddin, Shams Azam, Maulana Habibur Rahman, Mohammed Abid and Nayyaruz Zaman did their best to succeed the ceremony.
